Tempe First UMC sits in the middle of a vibrant and growing downtown area. As new residential condos go up in downtown Tempe, our church will once again be a neighborhood church for many people. As we consider the future of our congregation, Tempe First UMC is committed to reaching out to our new neighbors, and finding ways to be an active, vibrant, and meaningful part of the downtown community.
A God driven ministry that serves to spread Gods love and care to people who need to feel that love and know there is a full church of people who care for them. We are always seeking volunteer assistance! We need help organizing and distributing food and supplies to impoverished ASU students and to offer moral support.
We also welcome hair stylists, musicians, and persons with other talents to assist our at-risk student community.
We are currently working with the Pitchfork Pantry student organization at ASU to also provide hygiene products to over 200 students every other week.
