We are open Mondays and Fridays, from 6-10 a.m. for clean clothes, showers, and an all-you-can-eat hot meal (and coffee!). We serve an average of 100 people each morning. We are always seeking volunteer assistance! We need help at the sign-in/welcome desk, serving meals from the kitchen, handing out clothing, and supervising showers. We welcome musicians, hair stylists, story-tellers, and many types of entertainment.
Agencies who serve the homeless community like Urban Outreach are a place to meet with and serve their clients.
- Circle the City Health Care brings their medical unit to provide needed health care every week; Nurse Judy is also present weekly. Native Health offers free HIV testing once a month.
- Tempe’s HOPE Team visits weekly to provide a way for our homeless community to enter the computer system for housing and other important resources. And, we have regular visits from Community Bridges and VA Alliance.
- Homeless ID brings a much-needed resource to the homeless community – a way to reinstate their ID’s and needed documents, for work and housing and other benefits. They are present twice a month.
- Haircuts are offered once a month by volunteers who take time off from their salons.
All are welcome to come in for coffee and visit!
